Stampin' Up! Uk - Bright Blossoms for Easter

Stampin' Up! UK - Bright Blossoms for Easter

So the Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon was still on my desk from my last card and in my quest to actually USE my Designer Series Paper rather than just stroking it I found this one which was perfect for a quick Easter card using Stampin' Up!'s Bright Blossoms stamp set.  I coloured the images using Stampin' Write Markers (Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz & Daffodil Delight) and lined the flowers up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig (have you got yours yet!)  I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create a tag and layered the image onto it. The DSP is one of the subtler designs from Gingham Garden.

I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, punched it out using the Word Window Punch and cut the cute banner using a die from the Label Card Thinlits Die. The card was finished with Daffodil Delight Seam Binding and a tiny Baker's Twine bow.

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Stampin' Up! Uk - Hello with Happy Congratulations

Stampin' Up! Uk - Hello with Happy Congratulations

I needed a super-speedy card yesterday to pop in a box of goodies I was sending to a special someone and thought this would do the trick!

I stamped the lantern image from Happy Congratulations in Black StazOn ink and then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp the lanterns (in Calypso Coral, So Saffron & Wild Wasabi inks). "Hello" was stamped using ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers and the trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig - I am not sure how I managed without this fabulous tool!

The card was finished with two cute bows using Calypso Coral Baker's Twine.

There is lots of Whisper White card which is slightly outside my comfort zone but hopefully His Nibs will like it and know that we are thinking of him.

Stampin' Up! UK - ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers

Stampin' Up! UK - ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers

I was chatting to fellow demos and we were discussing how many stamp sets we had which had never seen ink - how bad is that!?  Anyway I decided that I am going to work my way through my stamp sets so today's card features ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet and Numbers. I HAVE actually used this set before on this card!  I also wanted to showcase the 2012-2014 In-Colors as these will retire in June.

I used the Stampin' Write Markers to ink the stamps and the Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the letters - if you haven't tried this fabulous tool then you absolutely must - straight stamps EVERY time.  The sentiment was then punched out using the Extra-Large Oval Punch.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Birthday Basics pack and has all been matted on coordinating card-stock.  The flower was created using the Floral Fusion Sizzlits and topped with a Large Pearl Basic Jewel.  I finished the card with some paper piercing using the templates from the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.

You can see the sketch detail on the stamps in this photo - such a cute set.

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree - Less is More!

A really simple card from me today! I seem to have been making cards with lots of layers and sponging recently so I have gone for something totally different!  The challenge this week on the Less is More blog is Trees. This is what I came up with:

The background was really easy - a Clear-Mount Block was inked-up using a Soft Sky ink pad, spritzed with water and then "stamped" onto a piece of Whisper White card and left to dry. The tree image is from the Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set. It was stamped in Early Espresso ink using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to ensure perfect placement!

The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Sentiments - again the trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig was used. I am not sure how I managed before I discovered this fabulous tool!

The base card is the Note Cards and Envelopes - these are perfect when you need a quick card.  You get 20 heavier weight Whisper White cards and Envelopes in the pack.

Hopefully it meets the criteria for the challenge - definitely not my usual style - but that is what challenges are about surely!

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Don't forget you can now order online if you prefer - if you click on the items you will be directed to my online store where you can pop them into your shopping basket:

A Thank You with Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree

So have you downloaded MDS yet? I wasn't sure I would like digital crafting but I LOVE it - so versatile and I am loving the potential for hybrid crafting!

Anyway on to today's card.  Dex and I had a weekend up in Yorkshire and I needed a Thank You card for our hosts. The Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set was one I got in my Starter Kit back in 2010 but I haven't used it for a while.

The image was first stamped on a Post-It note, torn at "ground level" and then the landscape and moon were sponged onto Naturals Ivory card using these as a mask (the inks I used were Soft Sky, Island Indigo & Always Artichoke). I have done a quick tutorial showing this which I will post later this week. The image from Lovely as a Tree was then stamped over the sponged background using Early Espresso ink and the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it was in the right place. This piece was matted onto Early Espresso card.

A piece of Soft Suede Core'dinations Cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder and distressed using the Stampin' Sanding System. This piece was matted on Naturals Ivory card and an Early Espresso card base.  A sentiment from Morning Madness (an exclusive hostess set) was stamped and matted using the same inks and card and the tails punched using the Hexagon Punch. A button from the Naturals Designer Buttons and a Linen Thread bow finished off the card.

I was really pleased with how it turned out - Lovely as a Tree is such a versatile set - I shall be using it to make some Christmas cards as well.

Don't miss a Reason to Smile

My name is Nicky and I love triple time stamping! Yep here is another card for you using this fantastic technique - as I have said previously I first saw it on Dawn Olchefske's blog, but there are samples all over blogland at the moment.

I have used the lovely Reason to Smile stamp set again - tomorrow is the last time you will be able to get your hands on this stamp so don't miss out!

I showed you the basic technique here, so wont go through it again.  The base card and mats are Soft Suede card. The flourish from the Creative Elements Stamp Set was stamped over all three layers of Confetti Ivory card using Crumb Cake ink.  The sentiment from Sincere Salutations was then added using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it was straight!  A mask was then punched out of a post-it note using the Extra-Large Oval Punch and placed over the sentiment.  The images from the Reason to Smile Stamp Set were then stamped all over the three images using Soft Suede, Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait ink.  The layers were then separated and matted together and finished off with a simple knot tied in the 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon in Poppy Parade.

As I mentioned tomorrow is the last time you will be able to get your hands on Reason to Smile. It is FREE with an order of £60 or more.

Tomorrow is also the last time you will be able to order products from the fabby Summer Mini Catalogue. Now, some of the bits may be back in the New Annual Catalogue which is launched on 1st October but lots of products won't be so please don't miss out!

Reason to Smile Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!
Reason to Smile is a 2-Step Stampin' set and contains 7 stamps. 2-Step Stampin' is a fantastic technique which gives the images lots of depth - basically you stamp the shadow image and then layer the detailed image on top. The Stamp-a-ma-jig makes this technique a breeze! You can of course use the images individually as well.

I have been making lots of samples to share with you so make sure you pop back tomorrow!

An Enchanting Up, Up & Away!

Gosh, where has the week gone?!  The weather here is still dismal so I have been busy crafting and have lots to show you over the next few days.

It was my nephew's birthday this week.  Do you find 8 year old boys are hard to make cards for? Well I think this set Up, Up & Away is perfect!
As you can see I teamed it up with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Papers which are still available - but only until the end of the month (or while stocks last).  Can you also spy the gorgeous Organdy Ribbon and Everyday Enchantment Brad - these are from the Exclusive Free Pack you receive when you purchase £45 or more of Stampin' Up! products - aren't they gorgeous?
The balloon images were stamped onto Confetti Cream card using Lucky Limeade, Pool Party & Calypso Coral ink, the basket was added in Soft Suede ink using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it was in the right place. I love the flying birds image so added a few of those in Basic Gray ink. This panel was then matted onto Lucky Limeade card. The base card is also Lucky Limeade with a mat of Confetti Cream and the Everyday Enchantment DSP. I hid the join between the papers with a length of 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in Very Vanilla.  The sentiment from Up, Up & Away was stamped on Confetti Cream using Soft Suede ink, punched using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and layered onto a Calypso Coral Scallop Oval Punch.  I wound the Organdy Ribbons round my fingers before securing onto the card with a Calypso Coral Brad.

Up, Up and Away is available in the current Summer Mini Catalogue - it is such a versatile set containing 14 stamps.
