A Little Bird Told Me with Stampin' Up!'s Everything Eleanor

A Little Bird Told Me with Stampin' Up!'s Everything Eleanor

I am very excited to be showcased today by the lovely Lisa Barton from Vintage Celebrations.

I am making slow progress through my "Use all my Stamp Sets Challenge" but have reached Everything Eleanor - I LOVE this set - especially the little bird. I wasn't really sure what I was going to do when I started this card but am really pleased with how it turned out.

The colours I have used are Early Espresso, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky and Very Vanilla. I stamped the central image and then covered it with a mask cut from a sticky note. The swirls and bird were stamped over the rest of the card with the mask in place. I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set to add the random dots and sponged the edges .

The sentiment from the Million and One Stamp Set was lined up using the fabulous Stamp-a-ma-jig and the card finished with Linen Thread and Pearl Basic Jewels.

So what do you think? I don't often make one layer cards - I may have to do more!

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used today. S is for Sympathy with Stampin' Up Occasions Alphabet

S is for Sympathy with Stampin' Up Occasions Alphabet

Today's card is one that none of us like to have to make but I do like this stamp for sympathy cards.  The stamp is from Stampin' Up's Occasions Alphabet stamp set which is retiring to make way for lots of lovely new products in the 2014/15 Annual Catalogue (released 1 July 2014).

The sentiment was stamped on Naturals Ivory card using Early Espresso ink and then the Banner Framelit Dies used to cut out banners from Pool Party card & Designer Series Paper Stack. The edges were all sponged with Crumb Cake ink.  The banners were layered over a Tea Lace Paper Doily onto Natural Composition Speciality DSP (retiring) - I love the embossed detail on this DSP.

The flowers were cut using the Big Shot & Floral Fusion Sizzlits (retiring) and topped with a flower from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (Retiring and Sold Out). The flowers were popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals over a piece of Very Vanilla Seam Binding ribbon.

Paper Pieced Perfect Blend with Stampin' Up! Retiring In Colors

Paper Pieced Perfect Blend with Stampin' Up! Retiring In Colors

Oooh you are loving the RETIRING LISTS (link on Right Hand Side) - thank you to everyone who has ordered so far - some items are already SOLD OUT so if you think you NEED something then don't delay for too long.

And so on to today's card - I am pleased that the Perfect Blend stamp set has made it to the new 2014/15 Annual Catalogue (launches on 1 July 2014) however the 2012-14 In Colors are going. I have used Midnight Muse Core'dinations, Crumb Cake and Whisper White on this card.

I stamped the cup image on Crumb Cake using Black StazOn ink and then also on Whisper White and a paper from the In Color Designer Series Paper Stack. I then cut out the lid and cup holder and paper pieced them onto the Crumb Cake image.

The background was embossed using the Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder. The banners were cut using the Hearts a Flutter Framelits. The card was finished with ribbon (Midnight Muse Stitched Satin & Whisper White Baker's Twine) and Pearl Basic Jewels.

I am really pleased with how this has turned out - shame I am not drinking coffee at the moment!

Triple Time Stamping with Stampin' Up! Creative Elements

Triple Time Stamping with Stampin' Up! Creative Elements

I haven't used the Triple Time Stamping technique for a while but I thought it would work well with this Stampin' Up! stamp set - Creative Elements. I first saw this technique a couple of years ago featured by an American Demo, Dawn Olchefske. If you check out this post you will find the card measurements I used & a quick tutorial. The colours are Rose Red, Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla.

Once the images were stamped and the layers re-assembled I finished the card with some ribbons - Victoria Crochet Trim, Linen Thread and Crumb Cake Taffeta.  I think it is such an effecive technique - seriously the hardest part is cutting the layers!

Today is my Stampin' Up! Birthday - why don't you join too?

Today is my Stampin' Up! Birthday - why don't you join too?

Blimey - it is 4 years today since I joined Stampin' Up! as a Demonstrator - where has time gone?  So why did I join? Well I had always loved their products and decided I NEEDED some - so I thought why not buy from myself and get discount on the products I buy?!

As it happens I have got something worth far more than discounted products - namely the most amazing friendships. In the last 4 years I have lived in 3 different houses (will be 4 by the end of the year - the joys of being an Army wife) so my crafting friends have been the one constant in my life - and to me that is priceless.

I have also met lots of lovely people at parties, classes and events whom I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing Stampin' Up! with. After all what is there not to love - fantastic quality products which all co-ordinate. And that is what makes Stampin' Up! so unique - the card matches the ink, the ribbons, the patterned paper and the embellishments. Punches and Framelits match stamp sets - it really is crafting made easy.

So if you are thinking - "sounds good - can I join?" - then yes you can! And even better - from today (Wed 28th May) until Monday 30th June you can become a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator at one of two GREAT prices:

For the next month you can join at the low price of £50 (£55 product value),

The traditional starter kit priced at £99 (£130 product value) will also continue to be available.

We are about to start the pre-order period for the NEW 2014/15 Annual Catalogue - if you join now you could get your hands on lovely goodies BEFORE anyone else - including the brand new Project Life and Blendabilities!

So which option will you choose? Have a look here for more information. I am always happy to answer questions so please do contact me if you have any - 07530 368466 or email me
