Gift Boxes with Stampin' Up! Soho Subway

Gift Boxes with Stampin' Up! Soho Subway

I made these gift boxes ages ago but never shared them with you.  I absolutely love this Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper - it is called Soho Subway and and this pattern is probably my favourite of all the the DSP in the catalogue!

To make the box I started with a tutorial from my fabulously talented friend and fellow demonstrator Sam Donald - aka Pootles.  I had to alter the size of the box to fit the contents - bars of chocolate - but that was simple enough.

I used Early Espresso & Crisp Cantaloupe card as they match the paper perfectly - don't you just love that about Stampin' Up!?  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set, cut using the Big Shot and Bitty Banners Framelits Dies. Two Scallop Circle Punches (1 3/4" & 1 1/4") were layered with a Very Vintage Designer Button tied with Linen Thread. The box is tied with a length of Victoria Crochet Trim.

So what do you think? I think they were well received - I know the contents were!

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Remember you can now order online if you prefer - if you click on the image you will be directed to my online store where you can pop them into your shopping basket. If you would prefer not to order online please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466 and I will be happy to help.

Stampin' Up! UK - Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack

Stampin' Up! UK - Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack

A change of style for today's card - something far "cleaner"!  I love the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper in this year's Sale-a-bration brochure - although the picture in the brochure does not show just how lovely it is!  I have used the DSP, the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack to make this card - all available with a purchase of £45 (excluding P&P) as part of the Sale-a-bration promotion.

A piece of Whisper White card was embossed, mattted on Pool Party card and then pieces of the coloured Twine from the kit wound round and secured with Sticky Strip. A piece of DSP was matted onto Crisp Cantaloupe card (again!!).  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set - stamped in Sahara Sand ink. The Bitty Banners Framelits were used to cut both the sentiment and the mat.

Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack

The cork flowers are also from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack - they are adhesive backed so super easy to use. The base card is Sahara Sand with Summer Starfruit and Whisper White mats.

Tea Shoppe Swap using Partial Cutting Technique

I have finally got round to taking some photos and have some cards to share with you! I made this card for my swap at the Pinkies Team Weekend in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago.  I used the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set which is one of my favourites. I also used the Ovals Collection Framelits and a technique called partial cutting which I love!

The cup image was stamped onto Naturals Ivory card using Not Quite Navy Ink (sadly retiring). A partial oval was then cut out using the Big Shot and one of the framelits. I have done a tutorial to show you how to do this - so make sure you pop back this weekend.

The flower image was then stamped over the card using River Rock ink (another retiring colour) to create the background and the edges sponged in the same colour ink. A piece of River Rock card was run through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. The card base is Not Quite Navy.  The sentiment was cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits and embellished using a flower from the fabulous Flower Trim - I love this product! A Not Quite Navy 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon bow and some Pearl Basic Jewels finished off the card.

We had a blast in Birmingham! I love my Pinkie friends and we didn't stop laughing or crafting all weekend. We also got to meet some of the lovely Dutch ladies - thank you Caroline for the photo above! Take a peek at Caro's blog - she is a hugely talented crafter.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! Products used to make today's card:
Stamp Sets: Tea Shoppe
Inks: Not Quite Navy, River Rock
Cardstock: Naturals Ivory, Not Quite Navy, River Rock
Punches: Corner
Big Shot: Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelits, Oval Collection Framelits
Other: Not Quite Navy 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Flower Trim, Pearl Basic Jewels

Don't forget that the discontinued colours (card, ink and accessories) are only available while stocks last so don't leave it too late if you NEED to stock up on your favourites!

If you would like to order any of these products please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466 and I will be happy to help.
