Greenhouse Garden One Sheet Wonder

Well I am continuing in my quest to use some of my stamp sets on the Retired List one last time. I thought I would have a play with the Greenhouse Garden stamp set which was one of the sets I got in my starter kit when I joined Stampin' Up! in 2010!

I decided to do a "One Sheet Wonder" and make a set of cards. The idea is that you stamp a sheet of card to make a background paper and then cut it up in a variety of ways to use on your cards.

I started with a sheet of A4 Confetti White (retired) and stamped all over it using images from Greenhouse Garden (retired). The inks used were Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride (both retired), Perfect Plum and Early Espresso - another combination from the Color Coach.

I then cut the sheet of card into various shapes - there are loads of templates to follow but I had a bit of a play and didn't do anything too fancy!  The cards I made are all below:

The card bases and mats are Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride and Perfect Plum Textured Card Stock which is sadly retired. The sentiments are all from the Sincere Salutations stamp set (retired) and were stamped in Early Espresso ink on Confetti White card. The punches used on the cards were Large Oval, Extra-Large Oval, Scallop Oval, Scallop Circle & Scallop Edge Border. The ribbon used was Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding (retired) and Pear Pizzazz Stitched Poly Ribbon (retired).

How amazing has the summer of sport been? I have loved it all! Now we just need Andy Murray to win the US Open Tennis tonight to round it off nicely!

Have you had a look at the Autumn/Winter Catalogue yet? It is packed full of fabulous products to inspire you over the next few months. You can view it online here or drop me an email and I will pop a copy in the post to you.

Don't miss a Reason to Smile

My name is Nicky and I love triple time stamping! Yep here is another card for you using this fantastic technique - as I have said previously I first saw it on Dawn Olchefske's blog, but there are samples all over blogland at the moment.

I have used the lovely Reason to Smile stamp set again - tomorrow is the last time you will be able to get your hands on this stamp so don't miss out!

I showed you the basic technique here, so wont go through it again.  The base card and mats are Soft Suede card. The flourish from the Creative Elements Stamp Set was stamped over all three layers of Confetti Ivory card using Crumb Cake ink.  The sentiment from Sincere Salutations was then added using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it was straight!  A mask was then punched out of a post-it note using the Extra-Large Oval Punch and placed over the sentiment.  The images from the Reason to Smile Stamp Set were then stamped all over the three images using Soft Suede, Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait ink.  The layers were then separated and matted together and finished off with a simple knot tied in the 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon in Poppy Parade.

As I mentioned tomorrow is the last time you will be able to get your hands on Reason to Smile. It is FREE with an order of £60 or more.

Tomorrow is also the last time you will be able to order products from the fabby Summer Mini Catalogue. Now, some of the bits may be back in the New Annual Catalogue which is launched on 1st October but lots of products won't be so please don't miss out!

Click here to have a flick through the Summer Mini Catalogue and don't hesitate to get in touch before tomorrow if you would like to order any goodies.

Triple Time Stamped Reason to Smile

Are you loving the Olympics? I have to say the coverage on Radio 5 Live has been amazing - and means I can carry on crafting instead of being glued to the television!

Today's card was created using the Triple Time Stamping Technique which I first saw featured by an American Demo, Dawn Olchefske. This technique seems to be all over craft blogs at the moment - very simple but effective.
3 pieces of Confetti Cream card were cut, stacked together and secured with a tiny bit of SNAIL Adhesive (you need to separate them once they are stamped). Images from the Reason to Smile stamp set were stamped in Riding Hood Red ink over all three layers. The layers were then carefully pulled apart, matted onto pieces Riding Hood Red card and reassembled.  The sentiment from Sincere Salutations was stamped in Riding Hood Red ink onto Confetti Cream card and then punched out using the Extra-Large Oval Punch and matted onto a Riding Hood Red Decorative Label Punch shape. The Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin Ribbon (from the Summer Mini Catalogue) was wrapped round the top layer which was popped up on Dimensionals, as was the sentiment.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! Products used to make today's card:
Stamp Sets: Reason to Smile, Sincere Salutations
Inks: Riding Hood Red
Cardstock: Confetti Cream, Riding Hood Red
Punches: Extra-Large Oval, Decorative Label,
Other: Riding Hood Red Pleated Satin Ribbon

Last Enchanting Days with Stampin' Up!

Where on earth has July gone? You only have till tomorrow to grab the Enchanting July offer - spend over £45 (before p & p) and you will receive 2 reels of gorgeous organdy ribbon in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade and 30 coordinating patterned brads for FREE!

Today's card looks complicated but is actually really easy to do with the fabulous Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I first saw this gorgeous wedding card that Chris had made when I was blog hopping and decided to have a go myself.
I have used the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper - I love the colours in these papers but they are only available until tomorrow so don't miss out!
I started with a piece of 12"x12" Very Vanilla Textured card and scored it using both the Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate. It was then a case of making sure the folds were crisp - the Bone Folder is a fantastic tool for this.  The patterned papers were then cut to fit. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla card and matted onto a piece of patterned paper and Calypso Coral card. The fan shapes were cut from one of the patterned papers.
The belly band is a strip of Very Vanilla Card layered with a border punched from the patterned paper using the Lace Ribbon Border. Two Decorative Label punches were added to the ends of the band, which was then secured using a piece of the Lucky Limeade Organdy Ribbon. The flowers are from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack finished with a tiny Pearl

Everyday Enchantment Scraps

It is lovely having the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper back but remember it is only available while stocks last - more details here. I still had some left over from Sale-a-Bration earlier this year - including lots of scraps which I couldn't bear to throw away, so thought I would make a quick card to use them up.

This looks far more complicated than it is and the Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets make sticking all the strips down a doddle.  I mounted this piece onto a Poppy Parade mat which co-ordinates beautifully with the papers - this is one of the reasons I love Stampin' Up! as you don't have to hope things will match - they will! I have used Confetti Cream as my base card - the flecks in the card give it a "vintage" feel which is perfect with these papers.

The sentiment is from one of my favourite sets - Sincere Salutations - a set of 8 versatile sentiments:-

I cut the sentiment out using the Framelits Dies from the Summer Mini Catalogue, sponged the edges and matted it on to another framelit shape cut in Poppy Parade. The card is then finished off with a piece of knotted Chantilly Crochet Trim.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! Products used to make this card:
Stamp Sets: Sincere Salutations
Inks: Soft Suede
Cardstock: Poppy Parade, Confetti Cream
Designer Series Paper: Everyday Enchantment
Other: Framelits Dies, Big Shot Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, Chantilly Crochet Trim, Big Shot.
