Washi Tape & Stampin' Up! Just Sayin' Stamp Set

Washi Tape & Stampin' Up! Just Sayin' Stamp Set

The Stampin' Up! Team I am in "The Pinkies" have a fortnightly Creative Challenge and the current one is to use Washi Tape. Now obviously I have all the Stampin' Up! Washi Tape but never really know what to do with it!  I needed some cards to send out with orders so this project kind of morphed from that.

The notelets were easy peasy. I cut Very Vanilla card card bases (7.5cm x 15cm) so they fitted into the Stampin' Up Square Envelopes, a Coastal Cabana mat (7 x7 cm) and more Very Vanilla (6.5 x 6.5cm) for the top layer. I stamped Baked Brown Sugar splodges with Gorgeous Grunge and added stripes of Retro Fresh Designer Washi Tape. The sentiment is from the Just Sayin' stamp set cut out using the Big Shot and the Word Bubble Framelits.

Well then I obviously had to make a box for them - so grabbed the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and came up with this to fit the notelets. The slope was a "happy accident" as I added up my measurements incorrectly - I quite like it!  I love the Ruffle Stretch Trim for making belly bands and zig-zagged two pieces together on my sewing machine (so it still stretches).

So what do you think? Quick and easy to make - and would be a cute gift to give to someone.

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Remember you can now order online if you prefer - if you click on the image you will be directed to my online store where you can pop them into your shopping basket. If you would prefer not to order online please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466 and I will be happy to help.

Treat Box with T Lights and Stampin' Up! Washi Tape

Today's project is a cute box containing decorated T Lights - a perfect thank you gift. I first saw this idea demonstrated by Amanda Fowler at a Pinkies team training event a couple of years ago - thank you Amanda!

With the introduction of the Simply Scored Scoring Tool this box is now super speedy to make.  I have done a quick tutorial to show how easy it is.

The box base was made from a piece of Calypso Coral card cut to 7 1/2" x 4 3/4": ( I am so glad this colour is staying with us as part of the Colour Refresh!)

Score on each side at 3/4" and 1 1/2":

Fold and cut along the score lines as shown:

Assemble the box using Tombow Multipurpose Glue or Sticky Strip (I prefer the glue as it gives you a bit of "slide")

The sleeve is a piece of Baja Breeze (retiring so get it while you can!) card cut to 6" x 4 1/2"

Stamp the card - here an image from the Bordering on Romance stamp set was stamped all over using Baja Breeze ink.

Score at 7/8", 2 3/4", 3 5/8" and 5 1/2" as shown:

Using a Framelit from Apothecary Accents Framelits and the Big Shot cut an aperture in the sleeve. Stick a piece of Window Sheet behind the aperture to prevent the contents falling out of the box!

Fold along the score marks and stick the sleeve together.

A tag was stamped using the sentiment from Kindness Matters and cut out using the Hearts a Flutter Framelits. Punch out a flower using the Itty Bitty Punch Pack finish with a Pearl Basic Jewel.

Have you noticed the T Lights have had a make-over? I used the fabulous NEW Epic Day This and That Designer Washi Tape to decorate them. A genius idea suggested by the super talented Sam Donald.  And of course because this is Stampin' Up! the Calypso Coral colour matches perfectly!

The box was then tied up with a piece of the gorgeous Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon. And there you go - all ready to go!

Hope you find this useful - I would love to hear from you if you make this so don't forget to leave me a comment.

Thank You with Stampin' Up! Paper Doily Sizzlits

Today's card is one I made for new team members to say "Thank you" for joining my Stampin' Up! team.  I had to buy the Paper Doily Sizzlits as soon as I saw it - I just love the detail.

The doily was cut from Very Vanilla Card using the Big Shot. One tip is to use the Simply Scored Stylus to help poke out all the fiddly bits - it also helps if you roll the cut piece slightly to help the pieces "ping" out. It is not a die for the neat and tidy to use!  A piece of Baja Breeze (retiring) card stock was embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Folder and sponged with Crumb Cake Ink.  The card base is Crumb Cake..

The sentiment is from the Blooming With Kindness Stamp Set and was punched out using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and layered onto a mat cut using Apothecary Accents Framelits.  More sponging and a couple of Pearl Basic Jewels finished it nicely.

The bow is made using Very Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Linen Thread and an Antique Brad

A very simple card but I love the vintage look so I was pleased with this - hopefully the recipients also liked them.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! Products used to make today's card:

Simply Scrappin' with Merry Moments!

Good grief! Where has October gone?  Sorry I haven't been around much but I'm back!

I wanted to show you how versatile the Simply Scrappin'® kits are. Each kit contains 8 sheets of 12" x 12" card stock (in four different colours), 6 sheets of double-sided 12x12" paper (3 of each design) and 3 sheets of card stock stickers.

There are four kits in the Annual Catalogue and one in the Autumn / Winter Catalogue.

Today I am using the Merry Moments Simply Scrappin'® kit from the Autumn / Winter Catalogue pictured below:

Merry Moments Simply Scrappin'® by Stampin' Up!

Aren't the colours lush? They are Basic Grey, Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla  Fantastic for Christmas crafting but also lovely for male cards.

I wanted to show a couple of projects using this kit so I split it into two and today's post shows the 6" x 6" Scrapbook I made with one half.

Four sheets of plain cardstock (one of each colour) were cut down into 6" x 6" squares to give sixteen pieces.  A "spine" was then scored down each piece at 1/2" using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool and two holes punched through the cardstock.  The scrapbook was tied together using a length of 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon in Old Olive.

The pages inside were all decorated just using the papers (3 sheets) and card stock stickers from the kit. The stickers are fabulous quality and the adhesive is initially respositionable (for about an hour) so if you change your mind and want to move a sticker - you can!

The corners were rounded using the Corner punch. I added photo mats in Very Vanilla card but you don't need to do that.  Here are some of the pages,

And the back!

This would make a fabulous gift for Christmas - either as an empty scrapbook or complete with pictures. The kits cost £18.95 and you could make two complete scrapbooks this size by just adding some ribbon.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! products used to make today's project:

Mouthwatering Cherries in a Stampin' Up! Sweet Shop!

Today's card hides a surprise!  I needed to make a birthday card for the daughter of our lovely friends, Ian & Andrea, and wanted it to hold a gift card as well.  I had a phone call yesterday from J saying she loved the card and the contents so I am safe to show you!

The base card is made from a piece of 12 x 12" textured Calypso Coral card cut at 5 1/2 " and scored using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool at 4", 6" and 8".

The Cherry image from the Mouthwatering Stamp Set was coloured using Calypso Coral, Lucky Limeade and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers and stamped onto Whisper White card. The image was cut out using a Labels Collection Framelit Die.  A mat was cut from a piece of Calypso Coral using the next sized die.  How yummy are the Sweet Shop Designer Series papers?  I used two of the designs and matted them onto Soft Suede and Pool Party card before attaching to the main card.  The Sentiment is from Party This Way and was stamped in Soft Suede ink, punched using Word Window Punch and matted onto a Modern Label punch in Calypso Coral.

Sticky Strip was used secure the card together to make the pocket for the gift card. The slot was created using the Word Window and 3/4" Circle Punches. Two pieces of the Soft Suede 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon were secured inside the card using more sticky strip and the ends covered using the cherry paper from the Sweet Shop DSP.  The ribbon was tied in a bow to close the card.

Last Enchanting Days with Stampin' Up!

Where on earth has July gone? You only have till tomorrow to grab the Enchanting July offer - spend over £45 (before p & p) and you will receive 2 reels of gorgeous organdy ribbon in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade and 30 coordinating patterned brads for FREE!

Today's card looks complicated but is actually really easy to do with the fabulous Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I first saw this gorgeous wedding card that Chris had made when I was blog hopping and decided to have a go myself.
I have used the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper - I love the colours in these papers but they are only available until tomorrow so don't miss out!
I started with a piece of 12"x12" Very Vanilla Textured card and scored it using both the Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate. It was then a case of making sure the folds were crisp - the Bone Folder is a fantastic tool for this.  The patterned papers were then cut to fit. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla card and matted onto a piece of patterned paper and Calypso Coral card. The fan shapes were cut from one of the patterned papers.
The belly band is a strip of Very Vanilla Card layered with a border punched from the patterned paper using the Lace Ribbon Border. Two Decorative Label punches were added to the ends of the band, which was then secured using a piece of the Lucky Limeade Organdy Ribbon. The flowers are from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack finished with a tiny Pearl

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! Products used to make today's card:
Stamp Sets: Sincere Salutations
Inks: Calypso Coral
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Calypso Coral
DSP: Everyday Enchantment
Punches: Lace Ribbon Border, Decorative Label, Itty Bitty Shapes
