Last Enchanting Days with Stampin' Up!

Where on earth has July gone? You only have till tomorrow to grab the Enchanting July offer - spend over £45 (before p & p) and you will receive 2 reels of gorgeous organdy ribbon in Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade and 30 coordinating patterned brads for FREE!

Today's card looks complicated but is actually really easy to do with the fabulous Simply Scored Scoring Tool. I first saw this gorgeous wedding card that Chris had made when I was blog hopping and decided to have a go myself.
I have used the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper - I love the colours in these papers but they are only available until tomorrow so don't miss out!
I started with a piece of 12"x12" Very Vanilla Textured card and scored it using both the Simply Scored and the Diagonal Plate. It was then a case of making sure the folds were crisp - the Bone Folder is a fantastic tool for this.  The patterned papers were then cut to fit. The sentiment is from Sincere Salutations and was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla card and matted onto a piece of patterned paper and Calypso Coral card. The fan shapes were cut from one of the patterned papers.
The belly band is a strip of Very Vanilla Card layered with a border punched from the patterned paper using the Lace Ribbon Border. Two Decorative Label punches were added to the ends of the band, which was then secured using a piece of the Lucky Limeade Organdy Ribbon. The flowers are from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack finished with a tiny Pearl

An Enchanting Blossom Punch

I am blogging and watching the Olympic Opening Ceremony - wow!!!

Today's offering is another card using the the Everyday Enchantment Organdy Ribbon and Brad Set you can get for free with an order of £45 or more - this offer is only on until the end of July so make sure you don't miss out!
I took inspiration from a card I saw on Vicky's blog - she is a very talented fellow Pinkie so please check out her creations.

I started by embossing a piece of Confetti White card with the Big ShotAdorning Accents Textured Embossing Folder. Then using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool I scored from the base of the card up to the impression left by the folder. This technique was demonstrated by Michelle Last at a Stampin' Up! Regional Training Event in Edinburgh and is a really effective way of adding interest to a card. I then wrapped the Lucky Limeade Organdy Ribbon round the card.  The flower was punched from the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper using the Blossom Punch. I coloured part of one of the stamps from the Mixed Bunch stamp set using the Calypso Coral Stampin' Write Marker, stamped it onto Confetti White card and punched it out using the 3/4" Circle Punch. This was then secured to the flower using one of the Brads from the free pack and popped over the ribbon using dimensionals. The sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in Lucky Limeade ink, punched out using the Word Window Punch and layered on a piece of Lucky Limeade card punched using the Large Oval Punch.  The card front was was matted onto a piece of Lucky Limeade card, with the base card in Confetti White.

Sail Away on The Open Sea with Stampin' Up!

It is the perfect day here for messing about on the water - but as I can't do that I thought I would make a boat inspired card instead. The Open Sea in the current Summer Mini Catalogue was the obvious choice but I wanted a yacht image so also used Sail Away, one of the A la Carte stamps from the Idea Book & Catalogue.
The yacht was stamped on Confetti White card using Basic Gray ink, I then "distressed" the edges using the distressing tool from the Cutter Kit and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. This panel was matted onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler. The nautical background was made by stamping the various images from The Open Sea onto a piece of Confetti White card using Basic Gray, Cherry Cobbler & Old Olive inks. A piece of Textured Old Olive card was layered onto a piece of Basic Gray and the yacht image popped on top of that. A piece of Lucky Limeade Baker's Twine was wrapped round and secured by a Basic Gray button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes (again!) and was punched out using the Word Window punch before layering on a piece of Cherry Cobbler punched using Modern Label. The background card is Basic Gray.

My Aviary Postal Swap

Today's card is one I made for a postal swap that a fellow Pinkie, Laura Southam organised. I posted them out last week so think I am safe to share now as everyone should have received their card by now.

I used one of my favourite Stampin' Up! sets - Aviary. Love love love the cute little birds and their cages.
I stamped the cage and bird onto Confetti White card using Marina Mist and Basic Gray inks and punched it out using the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. This was then matted onto circles of Basic Gray and Marina Mist card cut using the Big Shot and the Circles #2 Original Die. I cut a sliver off the circles before using dimensionals to pop them onto a rectangle of textured Pear Pizzazz card.  The card base was cut from Confetti White card using the Scallop Square Bigz Clear Die and Big Shot. The gorgeous bird paper is from Nursery Nest Designer Series Paper and the corners were rounded using the Corner Punch.  I tied round a piece of 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in Marina Mist and finished with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes. Do you like the banner effect? I used the 1 1/4" Square Punch - much easier than trying to get it even using scissors!

I hope everyone liked it - I have had some lovely comments so far which is nice. It is hot, hot, hot here today - why do our dogs insist on lying in the sun? We have two black labs so they must be roasting!

Enchanting Butterflies from Stampin' Up!

I wanted to show you another card using the gorgeous Organdy Ribbon & Brads worth £16.95 which you can receive for FREE this month with orders over £45.
This is a really quick card to make using the Big Shot. I embossed a piece of Confetti White card using the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder, and then cut the butterflies from Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper using the Beautiful Wings Embosslit Die.  These dies are great as they cut the shape and emboss it at the same time - you can just see the embossed details on the butterflies. I popped these onto the card with Glue Dots. To finish the card I wrapped round a piece of the Calypso Coral Organdy Ribbon and secured it with a coordinating Calypso Coral Brad. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped in Calypso Coral ink and punched out using the Word Window Punch. I popped this on the card using dimensionals. The front was then matted onto Calypso Coral card and a Confetti White card base to finish.

And that is not all, you will also receive 30 printed designer brads.

Coordinating colours: Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla, Soft Suede
We had great fun yesterday - lunch at Frankie & Benny's followed by the football. What more could an eight year old want? He also loved his card which is a bonus!

An Enchanting Up, Up & Away!

Gosh, where has the week gone?!  The weather here is still dismal so I have been busy crafting and have lots to show you over the next few days.

It was my nephew's birthday this week.  Do you find 8 year old boys are hard to make cards for? Well I think this set Up, Up & Away is perfect!
As you can see I teamed it up with the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Papers which are still available - but only until the end of the month (or while stocks last).  Can you also spy the gorgeous Organdy Ribbon and Everyday Enchantment Brad - these are from the Exclusive Free Pack you receive when you purchase £45 or more of Stampin' Up! products - aren't they gorgeous?
The balloon images were stamped onto Confetti Cream card using Lucky Limeade, Pool Party & Calypso Coral ink, the basket was added in Soft Suede ink using the Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it was in the right place. I love the flying birds image so added a few of those in Basic Gray ink. This panel was then matted onto Lucky Limeade card. The base card is also Lucky Limeade with a mat of Confetti Cream and the Everyday Enchantment DSP. I hid the join between the papers with a length of 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon in Very Vanilla.  The sentiment from Up, Up & Away was stamped on Confetti Cream using Soft Suede ink, punched using the 1 1/4" Circle Punch and layered onto a Calypso Coral Scallop Oval Punch.  I wound the Organdy Ribbons round my fingers before securing onto the card with a Calypso Coral Brad.

Up, Up and Away is available in the current Summer Mini Catalogue - it is such a versatile set containing 14 stamps.
