Well I have been busy making swaps for the Pink Ladies
& Lads team training day in Bicester this weekend. Swapping is great fun -
I have made 30 identical card fronts and will come home with 30 different
samples which I can then use to show customers what can be done with Stampin' Up! products.
Now obviously I can't show you my swap for this weekend yet as I don't
want to spoil the surprise for people going to training so here is a swap I
made for a previous training day.
This uses
the Faith
in Nature stamp
set which is one of Stampin' Up!'s exclusive hostess reward sets.
The pear
image was stamped onto Naturals Ivory using Crumb Cake ink, clear embossed and
sponged with Pear Pizzazz ink. The edges of the panel were distressed by
tearing and sponging with Crumb Cake ink. The
little bow was made using Crumb Cake Seam Binding and a fork! The
background panel was stamped on to Crumb Cake card with the En Français background stamp and matted onto an Early Espresso
panel. A strip of "ribbon" was cut in Pear Pizzazz using
the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch. The sentiment was inked using
Early Espresso, punched out using Word Window, sponged with Crumb Cake and matted onto a Modern Label punched in Early Espresso. The
background card is my old favourite, Confetti Cream.
Handy Hint: To emboss the image in Crumb Cake (or any
other colour), ink the image
using VersaMark first,
then tap the stamp on the Crumb Cake ink pad and stamp onto paper. Cover with
clear embossing powder, tap off the excess, and melt using the Stampin' Up! Heat Tool.
