Stampin' Up! Uk - A Sweet Sorbet Sale-a-bration

Stampin' Up! Uk - A Sweet Sorbet Sale-a-bration

I love the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper available for FREE during Stampin' Up!'s Sale-a-bration when you spend £45 (excluding P&P).  I have used the floral papers in the pack on lots of projects so wanted to try some of the others.

The sentiment is from the wonderfully versatile Wetlands stamp set - stamped and punched out using the Large Oval Punch. I cut a label from DSP using the Apothecary Accents Famelits and matted it onto Basic Black card and made it into a tag by punching a hole with the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack

This was tied round another piece of matted DSP using Pool Party Seam Binding. I just love the way this ribbon ties.

To add some texture I ran a piece of Summer Starfruit card through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and tore down the edges. Have you noticed - NO sponging on this card!  I finished it off with floral accents using another punch from Itty Bitty Shapes and Pool Party Candy Dots.

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Remember you can now order online if you prefer - if you click on the image you will be directed to my online store where you can pop them into your shopping basket. If you would prefer not to order online please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466 and I will be happy to help.

Don't forget that for every £45 (excluding P&P) you spend you can chose a Sale-a-bration item FOR FREE! Sale-a-bration ends on 31 March so DON'T miss out!

Stampin' Up! UK - Sassy Salutations

Stampin' Up! UK - Sassy Salutations

I seem to be using Crisp Cantaloupe loads at the moment - I just love the colour and it works so well with neutrals.  Today's card was for lovely friends of ours who recently got engaged and uses a sentiment from the fabulous Sassy Salutations stamp set.  The sentiment was stamped in Soft Suede and cut out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits and matted on Soft Suede card. A piece of Naturals White card was run through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and sponged round the edges.

The patterned papers are the Crisp Cantaloupe from the 2013-15 In-Colour Designer Series Paper Stack & Venetian Romance Designer Series Paper.  The Large Scallop Edgelit was used to cut a piece of Pistachio Pudding card which was also paper pricked using a template from the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack and layered under a piece of DSP. A piece of Victoria Crochet Trim and Linen Thread add texture.

The hearts were cut using the Hearts a Flutter Framelits and the whole card sprayed with the Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz (you can see the shine in this photo). Basic Pearl Jewels finished off the card.

Stampin' Up! Baby Prints for a New Pinkie Baby

So exciting! One of my friends in the Pinkies Stampin' Up! UK Team had her gorgeous daughter last week so obviously I needed to make a card for them.

I decided not to go for the usual pink - I love Coastal Cabana, one of the 2013-15 In-Colors, so used that as my feature colour. The image from Baby Prints was stamped onto Very Vanilla card using Basic Grey ink and run through the Big Shot using a die from the Circles Collection Framelits. A Coastal Cabana mat was cut using the Deco Labels Framelits and paper-pierced using a template from the Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack.  A second piece of Very Vanilla was embossed using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder, matted onto Coastal Cabana and a Basic Grey card base. A strip of Designer Series Paper from the Afternoon Picnic pack was added to the bottom.

The sentiment was also stamped in Basic Grey ink on Very Vanilla card and the tails punched using the Hexagon Punch. The sweet little baby-grows are from the Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel which I stamped in Basic Grey ink, coloured using Coastal Cabana ink and a Blender Pen and cut out. The Paper Snips are perfect for cutting out little shapes like these - they are so sharp (ask me how I know!).

To finish the card flowers were punched from Coastal Cabana card using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and topped with Pearl Basic Jewels.

I love the hand and foot prints in the Baby Prints Stamp Set - they are so cute!

Baby Prints Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

I was really pleased with how this card turned out and hopefully the new parents will like it as well.

I have decided I am going to try and enter some online challenges - I find these provide great inspiration for crafting but I am usually far too late to actually enter them - but not this time! The lovely ladies over at the SUO Challenge Blog challenged people make a paper-craft project for a baby so this fits the bill perfectly (I hope!)

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Don't forget you can now order online if you prefer - if you click on the items you will be directed to my online store where you can pop them into your shopping basket:

I am of course still more than happy for you to contact me directly to order any of these products if you would prefer, please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466.

Tea Shoppe Swap using Partial Cutting Technique

I have finally got round to taking some photos and have some cards to share with you! I made this card for my swap at the Pinkies Team Weekend in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago.  I used the Tea Shoppe Stamp Set which is one of my favourites. I also used the Ovals Collection Framelits and a technique called partial cutting which I love!

The cup image was stamped onto Naturals Ivory card using Not Quite Navy Ink (sadly retiring). A partial oval was then cut out using the Big Shot and one of the framelits. I have done a tutorial to show you how to do this - so make sure you pop back this weekend.

The flower image was then stamped over the card using River Rock ink (another retiring colour) to create the background and the edges sponged in the same colour ink. A piece of River Rock card was run through the Big Shot using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. The card base is Not Quite Navy.  The sentiment was cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelits and embellished using a flower from the fabulous Flower Trim - I love this product! A Not Quite Navy 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon bow and some Pearl Basic Jewels finished off the card.

We had a blast in Birmingham! I love my Pinkie friends and we didn't stop laughing or crafting all weekend. We also got to meet some of the lovely Dutch ladies - thank you Caroline for the photo above! Take a peek at Caro's blog - she is a hugely talented crafter.

Here is a list of the Stampin' Up! Products used to make today's card:
Stamp Sets: Tea Shoppe
Inks: Not Quite Navy, River Rock
Cardstock: Naturals Ivory, Not Quite Navy, River Rock
Punches: Corner
Big Shot: Honeycomb Embossing Folder, Bitty Banners Framelits, Oval Collection Framelits
Other: Not Quite Navy 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, Flower Trim, Pearl Basic Jewels

Don't forget that the discontinued colours (card, ink and accessories) are only available while stocks last so don't leave it too late if you NEED to stock up on your favourites!

If you would like to order any of these products please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466 and I will be happy to help.
