Fishy on a Dishy with Stampin' Up! By the Tide

Fishy on a Dishy with Stampin' Up! By the Tide

I found this stamped image while I was tidying my desk so thought I would make a quick card with it!  The colours I used are Crumb Cake and Gumball Green

The fish image is from By the Tide and was inked using Stampin' Write Markers and stamped onto Naturals Ivory card. I cut out the image and a mat using the Big Shot & Ovals Collection Framelits. The background is embossed using the Scallops Embossing Folder. A piece of Stitched Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread and Burlap Ribbon add some texture and the card is finished with a sentiment from Four You, hand cut into a banner.

It is always tricky to make cards for men but I think this one fits the bill.

Time and Stampin' Up! High Tide DSP wait for no one!

Time and Stampin' Up! High Tide DSP wait for no one!

Well this card ended up nothing like I intended - funny how that happens sometimes!  I used the fabulous Mojo Monday Sketch 341 as my inspiration and featured the Stampin' Up! High Tide Designer Series Paper.

I stamped World Map onto Naturals Ivory card using Crumb Cake ink and sponged the edges. Pieces of High Tide were then chopped, sponged, matted and layered using Pacific Point, Summer Starfruit and Early Espresso card. A sentiment From Teeny Tiny Sentiments was stamped onto an arrow from the Essentials Wooden Element. The banners were cut using the Banners Framelits Dies - I am not sure why I thought I didn't need these! Pieces of Burlap Ribbon and Striped Grosgrain Ribbon finish the card.

You can see more detail in this close-up picture - I love the cute boat image.

Stampin' Up! UK - The Spiral Flower Die Goes Vintage

Stampin' Up! UK - The Spiral Flower Die Goes Vintage

Have you seen the Spiral Flower die from Stamping Up yet? I LOVE it - so many possibilities.

I had had this basic idea for a card and it kind of just evolved as I sponged. spritzed and distressed!   The colours used on this card are Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Crisp Cantaloupe.

The Tea Lace Paper Doilies are just about the right size to cut using the Spiral Flower die and add a fabulous shabby touch to the flower.

I used 3 doily cuts - one rolled with the Crisp Cantaloupe card and then two wound round the outside. Lots of sponging, Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Sptritz and a Pearl Basic Jewel finished off the flower.

The background is the En Francais stamp which I inked with Crumb Cake ink and then spritzed with a spray made from rubbing alcohol and Crisp Cantaloupe re-inker.  The Paper Doily Sizzlits was cut from Very Vanilla card and sponged.  Burlap Ribbon and Linen Thread were wrapped around the card.

The sentiment is from the Four You stamp set stamped twice using a Stamp-a-ma-jig in Crumb Cake & Crisp Cataloupe ink. The border is from the Creative Elements stamp set cut out using the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  The card was finished with lots of sponging and spritzing.

As the card was too thick for a standard envelope I made a box envelope with the Envelope Punch Board - I love this tool - so versatile. It is decorated with a piece of Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper - available FREE with an order of £45 (excluding P&P) or more during Sale-a-bration.

Stampin' Up! UK - a Wetlands Goose

Stampin' Up! UK - a Wetlands Goose

I think I can confidently say that the Wetlands Stamp Set is my favourite ever Stampin' Up! stamp set! You saw me using one of the other bird image in this post.

This card is far simpler than it looks and just involved stamping, masking and sponging to get the sunset effect. The Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set was used to add some definition to the sand and sea. The background was Naturals White Card embossed using the NEW Texture Boutique Embossing Machine - this is a fabulous tool if you want something lightweight for embossing.  The Burlap Ribbon, Natural Chevron Ribbon & Linen Thread are great for providing different textures.
