Stampin' Up! Spring / Summer Catalogue

Stampin' Up! Spring / Summer Catalogue

LOVE LOVE LOVE the Spring / Summer Catalogue - Stampin' Up! have really excelled themselves with this one. So some of my highlights are:-

There are several bundles in the catalogue - this is my favourite! I love the detailed Butterfly Thinlits dies and the Butterfly Basics stamp set is just gorgeous buy them together and save 15%.

We all went mad for the Envelope Punch Board - well here is another one to add to your collection. The Gift Box Punch Board - never buy a box again!

There are five kits in the Spring / Summer Catalogue - don't forget you can choose one for FREE if you join my team! This is the Perpetual Birthday Calendar Project Kit - never miss another birthday! These will make the PERFECT gift for people - and of course you can add your birthday so they never forget it again!

The catalogue is PACKED with gorgeous stamp sets in Wood Mount, Clear Mount & Photopolymer. Moon Lake has to be one of my favourites ....

Stampin' Up! has split the catalogue into sections so it is easy to find what you are looking for. How lovely are these items in the Baby suite - the Baby Bumblebee stamp is adorable.

I know I don't NEED another alphabet stamp set but really Sophisticated Serifs is gorgeous - I am imagining all the stationery I can make with this one. I love the fact that each letter comes in 2 sizes.

So that is a very quick run through of some of my favourites! I now need to actually make something with them for you.

Don't forget - with every purchase of £45 of more you will receive a FREE item from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue.

Stampin' Up! Uk - A Bright Blooming with Kindness

Stampin' Up! Uk - A Bright Blooming with Kindness

So I am onto the "B" stamps - namely Blooming with Kindness! And inspired by the Watercolour Wonder Designer Series Paper in the Spring / Summer Catalogue I have used a colour I very rarely use - Tangerine Tango, along with Daffodil Delight.  I used Stampin' Write Markers to colour the flower image (Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry and Tangerine Tango) and stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede.  The stamped images were cut using the Big Shot and Framelits (Circles Collection & Ovals Collection)  Pieces of Watercolour Wonder were matted and layered to provide the background.

The card was finished with a bow in Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon, some Linen Thread (am loving this at the moment) and some Pearl Basic Jewels on the sentiment and in the middle of the flower.

So what do you think? I am loving the bright summery colours - maybe I will have to use Tangerine Tango more often!

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Remember you can now order online if you prefer - if you click on the image you will be directed to my online store where you can pop them into your shopping basket. If you would prefer not to order online please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466 and I will be happy to help.

Stampin' Up! Uk - Dress Up Framelits

Stampin' Up! Uk - Dress Up Framelits

I wanted to showcase some of the fabulous products in this week's Stampin' Up! Weekly Deals. This card uses the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder to create a border and the super-cute Dress Up Framelits to cut out the dress and stand.

A piece of Naturals White was run through the Big Shot in the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and the edges sponged with Crumb Cake to make the embossing "pop". This was matted on Raspberry Ripple card and a Baked Brown Sugar card base.

The stand was cut from Baked Brown Sugar card and stamped using the Hardwood stamp. I cut the dress from a Tea Lace Paper Doily and used extra pieces to give the skirt some layers. The dress was sponged with Crumb Cake ink and finished with a bow in Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon. A string of Basic Pearl Jewels add a final touch. The dress is mounted on a piece of Raspberry Ripple paper from the 2012-14 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack cut using an Ovals Collection Framelit

To finish the inside of the card I used the Viola's Lace Builder Wheel stamp - so pretty.

Stampin' Up! Uk - Just Sayin' with Shaving Foam!

Stampin' Up! Uk - Just Sayin' with Shaving Foam!

Speech bubbles are bang on trend at the moment and great for both cards and scrap-booking, so I was super-excited when I saw the Just Sayin' stamp set with MATCHING Word Bubbles framelits in the Spring / Summer Catalogue from Stampin' Up! Even better - if you buy them together as a bundle you can SAVE 15%.

I made this card for my swap at our Pinkies Craft Weekend in Birmingham as it also featured a technique I was demoing - the Shaving Foam Technique - isn't it cute?

The card background was embossed using the Arrows Embossing Folder, a piece of Pistachio Pudding Ruffle Stretch Trim and Linen Thread wound round and then matted onto Pistachio Pudding card and a Note Card.  The sentiments were stamped in Jet Black StazOn ink onto the patterned card and cut out using the Word Bubbles framelits.

So how did I make the patterned background? Well you need a tin of Shaving Foam (not gel!) and some Classic Stampin' Ink Refills.  If you click on the picture below you can enlarge it to see more details.. You can make some amazing colour combinations - or why not just use one colour for a different effect?

I used Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Pistachio Pudding so I could enter this card into the Around the World Colour Challenge (AW14).

Stampin' Up! Uk - Pinkies Spring / Summer Catalogue Blog Hop

Stampin' Up! Uk - Pinkies Spring / Summer Catalogue Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us on another Pinkies Blog Hop!
We're showcasing lots of gorgeous projects using products from the new Stampin' Up!® Spring/Summer Catalogue. Simply use the buttons at the end of each post to keep hopping!

If you arrived from Lizy's blog then welcome - I love what she made with the Peachy Keen Bundle! I hope you are enjoying seeing what we have all been busy creating.

Right let's get "hopping"! The Stampin' Up! Spring / Summer Catalogue is packed full of gorgeous products.  I have chosen to use the Spiral Flower Die and Happy Watercolour Stamp set.

The floral stamp was stamped in Black StazOn ink onto Naturals White cardstock and  the watercolour "splodge" (a technical term!) stamped in Tangerine Tango, Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe ink. This ombre technique is bang on trend at the moment and very effective I think.  The stamped piece and a piece of Watercolour Wonder DSP were sponged with Crumb Cake ink and matted onto Calypso Coral & Tangerine Tango card respectively.

The layers were assembled on a Crisp Cantaloupe layer over a Tea Lace Paper Doily. A flower was cut using the Spiral Flower Die and the petals sponged with Crumb Cake ink. The sentiment was stamped and cut into a banner. A Linen Thread bow and Pearl Basic Jewels finish the card.

To accompany the card I have decorated a Stampin' Up! embellishment pot using the Watercolour Wonder DSP, more die-cut flowers and pearls. The gorgeous Crisp Cantaloupe twine is from one of the FREE items you can chose from the Sale-a-bration brochure if you spend more than £45 (excluding P&P).

Don't forget you can now order any of the products I have used from my online shop.  If you would prefer not to order online please either email me or give me a call on07530 368466 and I will be happy to help.

Don't forget Sale-a-bration items can ONLY be earned for FREE with every £45 order (excluding P&P) - if you haven't already had your leaflet then drop me an email and I will pop one in the post.

Right now you need to hop on to Janneke's Blog. You will love her project using one of the NEW Designer Series Papers! I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop and have a crafty weekend!

Stampin' Up! UK - a Wetlands Goose

Stampin' Up! UK - a Wetlands Goose

I think I can confidently say that the Wetlands Stamp Set is my favourite ever Stampin' Up! stamp set! You saw me using one of the other bird image in this post.

This card is far simpler than it looks and just involved stamping, masking and sponging to get the sunset effect. The Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set was used to add some definition to the sand and sea. The background was Naturals White Card embossed using the NEW Texture Boutique Embossing Machine - this is a fabulous tool if you want something lightweight for embossing.  The Burlap Ribbon, Natural Chevron Ribbon & Linen Thread are great for providing different textures.

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Remember you can now order online if you prefer - if you click on the image you will be directed to my online store where you can pop them into your shopping basket:

Don't forget that for every £45 (excluding P&P) you spend you can chose a Sale-a-bration item FOR FREE!
