Stampin' Up! UK - Venetian Romance Meets Bright Blossoms

Stampin' Up! UK - Venetian Romance Meets Bright Blossoms

I promise this is the last card using the Stampin' Up! Bright Blossoms stamp set - I just wanted to show you how versatile it can be!

The images were inked with Soft Suede and Tangerine Tango and lined up using the Stamp-a-ma-jig (the sentiment is from the Four You stamp set). I then cut the image out using an Apothecary Accent Framelit, sponged the edges and matted it on Tangerine Tango card.  I cut a piece of Naturals White card with the Lattice Bigz die.  I layered a piece of Designer Series Paper from Venetian Romance onto Soft Suede card, punched notches and wound round some Linen Thread. The card was finished with some Basic Pearl Jewels.

Here are the main Stampin' Up! supplies used to make today's card. Stampin' Up! Uk - Bright Blossoms for Easter

Stampin' Up! UK - Bright Blossoms for Easter

So the Daffodil Delight Seam Binding Ribbon was still on my desk from my last card and in my quest to actually USE my Designer Series Paper rather than just stroking it I found this one which was perfect for a quick Easter card using Stampin' Up!'s Bright Blossoms stamp set.  I coloured the images using Stampin' Write Markers (Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz & Daffodil Delight) and lined the flowers up with the Stamp-a-ma-jig (have you got yours yet!)  I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to create a tag and layered the image onto it. The DSP is one of the subtler designs from Gingham Garden.

I stamped the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, punched it out using the Word Window Punch and cut the cute banner using a die from the Label Card Thinlits Die. The card was finished with Daffodil Delight Seam Binding and a tiny Baker's Twine bow.

Stampin' Up! Uk - Circles with Bright Blossoms

Stampin' Up! Uk - Circles with Bright Blossoms

My mission to use ALL my stamps before the new Stampin' Up! catalogue is released in July is still ongoing. I am slightly embarrassed to admit that my Bright Blossoms stamp set has sat unused on my shelf since we were given it at a Stampin' Up! event in 2012! In my slight defence it is not a set I would have bought but as I own it - I have to use it!

When I saw this week's Mojo Monday sketch I had an idea to use the circle stamp from the set to create a background paper to coordinate with the circles in the sketch.  In fact I ended up using lots of circles and dots.

The colours I used were Smoky Slate, Wisteria Wonder & Perfect Plum.  I punched the circles from the Designer Series Paper Stacks and the background card was embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the Just Sayin' stamp set cut out using the Word Bubbles Framelits - love love love these & don't forget you can buy them as a bundle and save 15%. A piece of Wisteria Wonder Chevron Ribbon is knotted across the top to finish the card.
