Anchor it with The Open Sea

Have I mentioned before that I love this set? The Open Sea is one of the sets in the current Summer Mini Catalogue which ends on 31st August. We then have an anxious wait to see what will come back in the NEW Annual Catalogue 2012/13 which is released on 1st October. If there is anything in the Mini which you absolutely have to have then don't risk it not returning - make sure you contact me before the end of the month with your order.

Anyway back to today's card:-
The anchor image from The Open Sea was stamped on Confetti Cream card using Soft Suede ink and the image cut out using a Labels Collection Framelit Die.  I love the Framelits as you can ensure you cut the card in exactly the right place - no guesswork required! A mat was cut from a second piece of Confetti Cream using the next sized die and the inventory image stamped all over it in Not Quite Navy ink. A piece of Cherry Cobbler card was cut on both edges using the Adorning Accents Edgelits Die. The globe image was stamped over this piece in Soft Suede and then matted onto more Confetti Cream card cut with the edgelits.  The base card is Not Quite Navy with the images stamped in ink of the same colour. All the pieces were sponged with Crumb Cake ink to give the card a vintage feel in keeping with the images.  The card was finished with Linen Thread wrapped round and tied onto a Crumb Cake button from the Neutrals Designer Buttons.

Are you loving the Olympics? I was hooked listening to the Show Jumping this afternoon - what a fantastic win for the British Team! I think the coverage on Radio 5 Live has been fantastic and has meant I haven't had to be glued to the television for the past few days!
